According to the American Heart Association, around 100,000 deaths could be averted by using AEDs and around 57 percent survivors of sudden cardiac arrest live 5 years or longer.

Automated External Defibrillators or Best Aed are being increasingly used to save victims of sudden heart attacks. During a cardiac arrest, the victim’s heart quits beating unpredictably. The heart beat becomes chaotic and abnormal that causes heart to quiver and it fails to pump blood effectively. AEDs help in restoring the rapid heart beat to a normal rate by delivering electric shock. AEDs are portable defibrillation devices which are not only compact, light and inexpensive but also easy to use.

Anybody can become a victim of sudden cardiac arrest irrespective of age or fitness levels. Every year, around 350,000 people in the US become victims of sudden cardiac arrest; and according to American Heart Association, it is possible to save around 100,000 of them with timely help. Though the average age of victims of sudden cardiac arrest is about 65 years, but anyone can have a sudden cardiac arrest anywhere, anytime. Best Aed or AEDs are perfect for assisting a victim of sudden cardiac arrest as they are portable, easy to use and very effective. AEDs help in restoring the heart rate to normal and thus save the victim’s life.

Laedral AED Trainer 2 has been designed to be used with Anne® and AED Resusci Anne® manikins that have Laedral LINK Technology. Responders can learn to place the pad properly by practicing on the manikins. This AED Trainer gives trainees the flexibility of using it with any other manikin that does not feature Laedral Link Technology. Practicing proper pad placement is beneficial for the trainees as they can train in complex scenarios only if they learn proper pad placement in that particular scenario. To lend this amazing trainer a more realistic touch, even its battery pack is like that of HeartStart FR2 AED’s battery back.

To get more out of your Best Aed, you can also go for the optional AED Trainer 2 Programming Kit which has various additional features. With the optional programming kit, you can create, edit, and upload custom built scenarios in your Laedral AED Trainer 2 and it also allows local language output. You can also configure a variety of parameters for matching the settings of your AED Trainer to that of a HeartStart FR2 defibrillator which makes a trainee adept in handling the real automated external defibrillator effectively.

Self-help For stress attacks - the easiest way to stop Attacks By Breaking Your Cycle Of agitation.

The best help for anxiety attacks is self-help. Especially because a critical factor in stress attacks is your 'fear' of having another one. If you can rid yourself of this fear then you can prevent further stress ( panic ) attacks. Here, you can discover how your fear of another anxiety episode can essentially trigger one, and, how you, yourself are the sole person who can eliminate that fear and prevent more anxiety attacks.

As an anxiety victim who has experienced the indications of an anxiety or panic attack, whether or not you are consciously aware or not, you will be worried about having another attack. And why wouldn't you? Let us be honest, the symptoms are absolutely frightening aren't they? The totality of all the symptoms led you to believe you were about to die, so there is no way that you would like to go through that again.

Now your 'fear' is such a strong force that it has a genuine effect on your general nervousness. What happens is that your recurring fear adds to your already higher-than-normal anxiety levels. By doing so your fear raises these levels even higher. They can be raised so high that the strain of a standard everyday event can then push your anxiety way beyond what your body expects.

Your unconscious mind then 'sees' this ( quite incorrectly ) as a potentially terminal situation and reacts as it has for thousands of years ; by preparing your body and mind to either fight or run away. We call this the 'fight or flight' response. You see, your unconscious mind can't spot the difference between reality and non-reality. All it knows is that you are in a very stressed situation. It then takes no possibilities and assumes you are in danger.

The hideous symptoms you experience are the result of your cerebral cortex extremely quickly organizing things to offer you the highest chance of survival. For example, blood is short-circuited from your stomach to your critical muscle groups. Your pupils dilate to let in more light so you can see better. Breathing becomes faster for more oxygen. Your heart pumps quicker to deliver the blood quicker. And so on .

So i hope you can see now that the indicators of anxiety attacks are just your body's natural reaction to a 'perceived' threat. You aren't going o 1000 ff your head, and, you are not going to die.

alcoholism in many cases is associated with anxiety and panic attacks. Find out how serious health dangers of anxiety disorder and alcoholism are.

O.K, now let's deal with your fear. You can see from the above that your fear is only 1 part of an 'anxiety cycle' that goes something similar to this anxiety attack fear increased agitation panic episode fear increased anxiety etc . Your nervousness is feeding off your fear, so that by focusing on your tension alone ( as drug based meds do by making an attempt to control your 'mood' ) you aren't addressing the real problem, which is your 'fear' of having more fear attacks.

The key is to remove your fear factor first. This breaks your cycle of hysteria, which in turn inhibits foreboding attacks, and, then makes it better to address and at last sort out your general anxiety.

So how do you get rid of your fear? You must take back control from your fear and diffuse it. You do this by meeting your fear face-to-face, literally. In basic terms you've got to be prepared to have an anxiousness attack! I know this goes counter to what you would think but it's what you have got to do. Rather than running away from your fear which amplifies it, you should embrace it absolutely and diffuse it.

As an example try this at this time : make yourself have an anxiety episode. Nothing occurred right? O.K, try again then. It isn't going to happen. Why? As you faced your fear of another attack by attempting to trigger one. In doing so you dissipated your fear and so nothing happened.

This is just a little experiment, and clearly if that's all you had to do, no one would be suffering from panic attacks anymore. Naturally, it's kind of more complicated than that, but that gave you an idea of just how successful this can be with the right methodology, like the 'ONE MOVE' technique revealed below.

But even if all you've taken from this report is an awareness that your next anxiety attack won't harm you, then you may have taken a good positive step forward.

Fighting The Epidemic Of Crystal Meth

Help is at hand for changing our approach to dangerous drugs. New resources are being developed and deployed to help rescue Americans from the grip of crystal methamphetamine, or meth. According to a survey taken in 2004, an estimated 12 million people in the United States ages 12 and older had tried meth at least once, and 1.4 million of those had used it within the last year. In addition, law enforcement agencies nationwide ranked meth as one of the top drugs responsible for increasing violent crime rates in communities, according to a 2003 National Drug Intelligence Center survey.

A Meth Primer: provides basic facts on meth, myths and truths about the drug, and offers examples and statistics showing that meth is a severe threat to the health and safety of communities.

A Guide for Community Leaders: includes specific examples of what is working in other communities and steps to build a coalition to combat the meth issue, and identifies how to mobilize local resources and implement plans for meth prevention projects.

A Guide for Schools: outlines the signs and symptoms of meth use and exposure, provides tips for school guidance counselors, nurses and administrators on how to help students who are using meth and other drugs, and provides five, 50-minute lesson plan examples that introduce the dangers of meth to students of all ages.

A Guide for Parents: describes the signs and symptoms of meth use, gives tips for talking to children about meth and other drugs, explains reasons why adolescents use meth, and provides specific examples of what parents can do to keep their children off meth.

A Guide for Health Care Professionals: outlines the various medical complications of meth use, describes common emergency room treatment procedures for meth users, explains how first responders can help children who have been exposed to meth, and gives example protocols for medical evaluation of children found at a meth lab.

A Guide for Employers: includes statistics on the high cost of drug abuse and growing rate of meth use on the job, explains what to do if an employee is suspected of drug use on the job, and provides instruction on how to develop a workplace policy that addresses drug addiction.

A Campaign Resources Guide: provides sample cover letters to community members introducing a meth awareness campaign, three sample press releases to recruit community support and gain media attention, printable fact sheets about meth, four sample awareness posters and a meth resource directory.

It is not recommended that if you have liver disease you drink alcohol and take medications. Taking Tylenol can be safe if you take less than six tablets a day and ibuprofen can be safe to if you have no ulcers, cirrhosis, and have normal kidneys. Keeping a close on diet is a good thing too, if you don't have cirrhosis you can have a low fat, low cholesterol, and low sodium diet. People with liver disease that are overweight might have too much fat in their liver and can develop more damage from the fat. Have said this, the best thing that you need to do is to adapt a healthy lifestyle and find a good way to detoxify your body. To top it all, you need Liver Active. But does Liver Active work and if it does, where can you buy it? And most important of all: what is Liver Active?

Stress Harms Health…

When stress attacks us, the results often show up in our mouth first. Often stress can increase your likelihood of developing gingivitis which can then easily progress into true gum disease.

The problems of stress is two fold. First the chemicals that your body creates may have an impact on your dental health alone. Couple that with the theory that stress can actually cause you to miss taking care of your dental health and you have compounded the problem.

If this goes on for any length of time, it is quite easy for gingivitis to worsen or to set in. Not to mention that, by the same token, your risk for tooth decay may increase as well. Harmful bacteria secrete their toxins onto both teeth and gums. As a result, both are more at risk for developing a disease condition.

Therefore, this article is a reminder to you to take care of your dental health in times of stress. Do not forget because it is easier to do so when you are stressed. Perhaps you are working late, night after night, attempting to reach a deadline. Perhaps you are worried about some matter relating to your family or friends.

It could be any number of things. One thing you can do to alleviate stress is to practice meditation. Try the peaceful exercises of Falun Dafa. They can help your body to relax. The idea is that your mind may follow suite. Stress is tricky and causes many harmful chemicals to be released. In a short term crises, these chemicals are helpful to meet environmental challenges. But when these chemicals remain in a chronic way - that could be the doorway to trouble.

Protect your dental health! You can make your body happier and perhaps even live healthier if not longer by keeping your natural teeth and keeping the amount of dental work you have done down to a minimum!

Caring for Elder Parents with five tips

This leaves both caregivers and care recipients unprepared.  Look no further than the path of Hurricane Katrina to witness the consequences of a lack of planning. What can you do?   Start talking about the "what ifs" and make a plan.  1. Start with yourself. What will happen to you and your family if you become disabled or die unexpectedly?  Do you have disability insurance? Do you have a will?  Do you have a living will, and have you identified the person who will make the medical choices you would make if you are not in the position to do so?  2. Approach healthy family members.    Say, "I hope that you live many happy years in which you enjoy all of the pleasures you worked so hard to create."  Have you thought about what would happen to you in the event that you cannot live independently any more?  If some medical event befalls you, who would make your medical choices?  3. Look into community resources that support caregiving.

A day program, for example, helps your loved one by providing social connections with peers.  Your community may even offer transportation to and from the program.  Getting out of the house offers the additional benefit of getting bodies moving.  Socializing and exercise are the two most powerful interventions that help your loved ones stay at their best.   4. Make specific suggestions to friends, family members and neighbors who want to help.  You may even want to keep a "help list." When they say, "Let me know what I can do," you have a response:  "Could you take Mom to her physical therapy appointment this week?"  "When you're at the store, could you pick up some oranges and blueberries?"  "Could you watch the kids for an hour so I can get to the gym?" Your giving friends will appreciate specific ideas about how they can help. 5. Take care of your health.   Get good nutrition, plenty of sleep, and regular exercise to stay in top health.  Wash your hands regularly to prevent colds and flu.  Manage your stress with laughter, a prayer or even a deep breath.Nourish your soul with a taste of activities that recharge your batteries such as writing in your journal or gardening. Finally, talk to your doctor if you feel depressed or anxious. The best strategies for effective caregiving include preparation, acts of self-care and reaching out for help. That begins with the courage to start talking openly about caregiving.
