I recently became an AHA certified instructor. I recently conviced my company to purchase an AED, along with this training equipment. I believe it is verye beneficial to teach others to ue the AED on the actual device they will be using in an emergency. The only piece of advice I would give is to get an addition battery to use during training. This way you won't risk your battery not being ready in an emergency.

Real life sudden cardiac arrest situations are much more difficult to handle then what we perceive from movies and television. An emergency situation involves a lot more fear, panic, confusion, and risk of losing a precious life. The person who provides first aid in such critical situations should be technically skilled and familiar with using AED and performing CPR.

He should have the confidence to tackle such an emergency situation without any fear and

doubt. The commotion and confusion on the site of such life threatening situation can make anybody nervous and only an AED trained confident person can control the situation. Therefore it is advisable to impart regular AED training to the staff of every organization wherever AED equipments are deployed.

Today according to the state AED laws it is mandatory to install AED equipment in various organizations, such as schools, malls, shopping centers, theaters, offices, health clubs, government buildings, factories, airports, etc. as a cardiac emergency can arise anytime.
